How to download web videos on iPhone and iPad

Use MediaPocket Browser to open a webpage or copied share link, find its media and save a supported video. Only download content you own or have permission to save.

From a shared link to a saved video

  1. Copy the webpage address or share text containing a link. TikTok and YouTube links are examples; availability depends on the individual page and your sign-in state.
  2. Open MediaPocket Browser. If the app finds a link in the copied text, review the destination and choose Open link. You can also enter the address directly on the home screen.
  3. Open the webpage, then tap the media extraction button in the browser toolbar to collect supported images and videos into a gallery.
  4. Choose a video card to preview it. Start a download from the toolbar or the card’s download control.
  5. Wait for the download to finish, then choose Save to Files or another destination from the system share sheet. A completed download does not save to Files until you choose that destination.

Turn on ad blocking while browsing

Use the shield control in the browser toolbar to enable or disable ad blocking. Filtering runs on the device and reduces common advertising and clutter.

Different websites load ads in different ways. If a page does not work as expected, compare it with ad blocking off; no filter can guarantee removal of every advertisement.

Control videos and images with an iPad keyboard

In compatible video previews, Left and Right seek back or ahead by 10 seconds, Up and Down adjust volume, and Space plays or pauses. Command + Down closes the media preview.

In image previews, Left and Right switch images. AirPlay is available when supported by the video and device. These shortcuts control the app’s media previews; website players may behave differently.

Download questions

Can I download every YouTube or TikTok video?

No. A share link identifies a webpage, but downloading depends on the page, format, access permissions and sign-in state. Some pages do not expose a supported downloadable video.

Does the app guarantee watermark-free downloads?

No. The saved result depends on the source media made available by the website. MediaPocket Browser does not promise to remove watermarks from every video.

Why does a video fail to download?

The page may require sign-in, use an unsupported media format, restrict downloads or stop responding. Check the original page and network connection. DRM-protected content is not supported.

Is the video downloader free?

Basic browsing, search, bookmarks and iCloud sync are free. Media extraction and video downloads require Pro after any eligible complimentary experience. Check the App Store for current purchase and trial terms.

Will reinstalling restart the 3-day complimentary experience?

No. The device keeps the start time of its first complimentary experience; reinstalling does not restart an expired experience.
