Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 14, 2026. This is the English translation of the Chinese privacy policy.
Overview
MediaPocket Browser is provided by Haikuo Sun. This policy covers local browsing features and download flows actively initiated by the user in builds that provide server-assisted downloads.
On-device settings and favorites
The app stores browsing settings, media extraction preferences and favorites locally on your device. The developer does not read or receive these data from your device.
To prevent repeated complimentary experiences, the app stores the experience start time and whether you have had a Pro purchase in this device’s system Keychain. These records are not uploaded to the developer’s server or synced through iCloud Keychain and may remain after reinstallation. Deleting the app does not restart the experience period.
System authentication and privacy protection
You can choose to verify your identity with Face ID, Touch ID or the device passcode when opening the app or returning from the background. Apple’s system services perform verification locally. The app does not read, store or upload facial data, fingerprints, device passcodes or other biometric information.
Hiding the app-switcher preview, requiring authentication on return and hiding personal favorites and recent visits are local preferences and do not sync through iCloud. Hiding personal content changes only the home-screen display; it does not delete favorites, recent visits or browsing data.
iCloud favorites sync
When iCloud is enabled on your device, Apple’s iCloud Key-Value Store can sync favorites across your own devices. Apple provides this service. The developer has no server for reading your favorites.
Search and third-party websites
Search terms you submit are sent directly to Bing. When you open a webpage, the destination website and its service providers handle the address, network requests and page interactions. Their respective privacy policies govern third-party data practices.
Webpage media processing
Images and videos are identified and displayed in the web view, gallery or system player on your device. They are not uploaded to the developer’s server.
Optional server-assisted downloads
Videos are downloaded on the device first. After you tap Download, only resources that cannot be handled locally and are supported by the server parser are automatically sent to the gamemeister.asia download server. There is no additional cookie-upload confirmation. The initial server download does not read or send login cookies. Only when a website explicitly requires login or authentication, or anonymous YouTube parsing returns no downloadable format, does the app read the existing session cookies limited to the current website. If an available session exists, it sends those cookies to the above server for one retry, solely for that download. If a YouTube format is missing and there is no login session, the app asks you to log in on the current webpage and retry. It does not send other websites’ cookies or ask you to give account passwords to the developer.
The page address, User-Agent and session information are used only for this task. Cookies are not written to logs or a database. Session files are temporary and deleted when the task ends. Video files are deleted after return transfer completes, fails, is canceled or expires. Leaving the initiating page cancels tasks still being processed on the server; a file whose return transfer has started can continue transferring.
Supported server-assisted tasks may temporarily process webpages, player scripts, API responses and playback manifests. Parsing materials are processed only in task memory and are not written to logs or a database. Authentication still uses only the one session retry described above.
The app stores a random device identifier in the device Keychain. The server uses its irreversible digest to confirm download-task ownership, limit concurrent tasks and rate-limit download failure reports. Video downloads no longer have a daily count allowance, and the server no longer maintains download reservations or daily success counts. This identifier is not used for advertising, cross-app tracking or linking to original website accounts. Concurrency limits and short-term request rate limits remain to protect the service.
Download failure diagnostics
When a user-initiated download fails, the app automatically sends the above download server a diagnostic report to reproduce and fix the issue. The report contains the app version and build, iOS or iPadOS version, device model identifier, app language, download method, processing stage, a correlatable server-task identifier, and normalized error source, stage and codes, including available HTTP or system error codes.
A report may include redacted addresses for the failed page and media. Stable parameters needed for reproduction, such as a YouTube video identifier, can be retained. Ordinary query values, fragments, credentials and suspected signed paths are replaced with redaction markers. Reports do not include page titles, cookies, request headers, Authorization, response bodies, arbitrary exception descriptions, user file paths or clipboard content. Successful downloads and user cancellations do not generate reports.
The server limits reports by irreversible device digest to at most 20 per hour. Reports are stored at non-enumerable, high-entropy random addresses and deleted after 30 days by default; the server retains at most 2,000 reports. Responses prohibit caching and search-engine indexing. The failure dialog displays a report address you can copy. This address acts as an access credential and should be shared only when diagnosing the issue. Diagnostic data is used solely to maintain downloads, not for advertising, analytics or cross-app tracking.
Data we do not collect
The current App Store version contains no developer-operated account system, advertising SDK, analytics SDK or cross-app tracking. Apart from task operating information and time-limited download failure diagnostics described above, the developer does not store original website accounts, browsing history, search records or favorites.
